Climate Action and Sustainability Fundraiser
Progressive Harford County and the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus are joining forces to host their first joint fundraiser focused on climate action and sustainability. This event underscores the organizations’ shared commitment to a more sustainable Maryland.
But we can't do it alone as your support is crucial.
Every contribution fuels our advocacy, educational efforts and policy and legislative organizing in our collective fight against climate change.
Your donation will:
Support Grassroots Advocacy: Empower local communities to advocate for impactful environmental policies.
Fund Educational Initiatives: Increase awareness and understanding of sustainable practices across diverse communities.
Elect Progressive Candidates: Supplies us with the needed financial resources to elect progressives to office who will fight climate change and protect our environment.
Drive Legislative Action: Help us champion and enact bold climate policies at both the local and state levels.
Speakers include:
Harford County Councilman Jacob Bennett — District F
Dylan Laconich — City of Salisbury Sustainability Specialist
Kristen Harbenson — Maryland League of Conservation Voters Policy Director
As the LSPC and Progressive Harford unite under the banner of environmental stewardship, your contribution goes beyond a monetary donation — it's a pledge for a sustainable future for all Marylanders. Let's harness the power of our collective action to make a lasting impact.
Tickets are $25 and additional sponsorship levels and benefits are available.

March For Healthcare at the Annual MLK Parade in Baltimore
At a press conference in 1966, Martin Luther King stated:
"Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane."
We will be marching with other healthcare organizers in the Baltimore City Martin Luther King Day Parade under a banner that carries that powerful quote.
Sign up if you plan to celebrate part of the MLK holiday with fellow Medicare for All supporters by marching with us in Baltimore City's MLK parade on Jan. 15.
We'll meet at N. Eutaw Street near State Center at 11:45 a.m.
This is a great way to honor Dr. King, connect with other M4A advocates, let off steam about the failings of our privatized healthcare system, and have a great time.

Rally at Rep. Andy Harris' Bel Air Office
Progressive Harford County is teaming up with Indivisible Towson, TWW Harford County, Baltimore County Progressive Democrats Club, North Baltimore County Democrat Club and other community groups to rally outside of Rep. Andy Harris’ Bel Air office.
The rally is to show our support in the US honoring its financial obligations to avoid a financial crisis. As Rep. Harris' constituents, we want to make it known that he…
Should not support putting critical programs like Medicaid and Public Education on the chopping block
Should not play politics with our livelihoods
Should support passing a clean debt ceiling increase
Parking for the rally is at a public garage (6 S. Hickory Ave., Bel Air MD 21014). The cost is $0.50 per hour and parking is free after 5 p.m. The garage is around the corner from the rally.
The rally’s organizer’s, Indivisible Towson, have asked us to not post this on social media.
Let Vicki Vestrich know if you plan to attend the rally or if you have additional questions. Her email is v.vestrich@gmail.com.
